Finance Officer

I joined Forum as a Finance Officer, responsible for Accounts Payable - in a simple way I’m responsible for all the organisation's payments.

After gaining a degree in Economics in Hungary (where I am originally from) I decided to put my skills into practice. I  joined a programme and worked on an HIV/AIDS project in Mozambique and Malawi. The experience inspired me to pursue a career in the not for profit sector. There weren't many opportunities in that sector in Hungary at that time, so I moved to the UK and worked many years for the British Red Cross in different roles; in training, programme support and also joined their Emergency Response Unit which provides logistical assistance in major international disasters at short notice. In between different roles at the Red Cross I worked in finance for the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and volunteered for Raleigh International in Costa Rica as a logistics coordinator and also had a chance to lead and trek in the Costa Rican jungle.

Outside of work, I love being active, walking, swimming, dancing, travelling, getting to know new cultures....in recent years I do all this with a very cute and bossy companion… my young daughter who’s always by my side!
