Futures Centre Internship

Forum for the Future is looking for two interns to work on the Futures Centre, our global trends platform tracking the development of a sustainable future.
The interns would ideally work part-time (to be discussed – usually 3 days a week) over a period of 12 weeks, ideally starting in late May/early June. They will be part of an international team, based in our London office but with working closely with our international offices.

Tasks include:

  • Horizon scanning research for trends and signals of change
  • Editorial tasks: fact checking, writing, proofreading
  • Image and illustration research
  • Website administration
  • Working closely with our communications team to develop a programme of editorial content on the Futures Centre
  • Content management and promotion
  • Research for topics and articles

This is a great opportunity to gain experience working in a small, fast-paced team at the heart of an organisation driving for change. That’s why the person we have in mind will have:

  • An interest in sustainable development and/or futures with an appetite to learn more
  • A high level of literacy and an ability to write clearly
  • Strong research skills and an ability to carry out research with limited management
  • A willingness to pitch in with a variety of tasks within a small team
  • Comfortable with website editing and content management systems

The internship is unpaid; Forum for the Future is able to cover daily transport costs to the office (within Zone 6) and lunch up to £5 per day.

Applications – which should include a two page CV and one page letter detailing how you meet the person specification to: [email protected]

Closing date: 12pm on Monday 21st May
Interview date: w/c 21st May

Due to the number of applications we receive we are unable to respond personally to all applicants. If you do not hear from us by close of business on Friday 25th May we will not be pursuing your application further.
